Choosing a grid-tie solar inverter
Three checks to turn a product comparison into a useful project enquiry.
Match the grid connection
Review supply phase, voltage and AC output ratings. Ask your project designer to check the equipment against the site's connection requirements.
Compare PV input limits
Look at the MPPT arrangement, PV voltage range and input current. Check the proposed solar strings against each limit in the model documentation.
Separate generation from backup
Grid-tie generation alone does not establish outage backup. If backup is required, discuss the architecture separately and verify any required equipment approvals.
